At LeWeb, many companies came up and demonstrated their new and innovative products, so why Microsoft should be left out of the foray?
Microsoft demonstrated to the masses present at LeWeb something through which they can easily curate the web’s information, and it looks good too. Microsoft calls it, Montage. Read on below to find out more.
So what exactly does Montage has to offer? Well basically it allows the user to pick a keyword or two; Montage then pulls in data and content from quite a number of media-rich and real-time sources which include RSS feeds, Twitter, YouTube and Bing News. This pulled-in content is then prearranged on the page in a grid format while the user gets to choose the exact layout for their own use and for the purpose of sharing with friends online. In terms of styling, Montage is fairly similar in looks to a glossy magazine web or tablet app.
Montage is an initiative by Fuse Labs, Microsoft’s research-focused division which focus on social, real-time and rich-media experiences. We believe that Montage really might make an impression, however let us know what you think of Montage after giving it a try, in your comments below.
