RIM Opens App Submission For The BlackBerry PlayBook; Offers Free Unit

There has been much hype surrounding the BlackBerry tablet, and it has become a device that people all over the world are
literally longing for. Previously, we told you all about PlayBook as soon as the details were made public, read the full story here. However now it seems that things are really taking shape as it has been announced that BlackBerry App World will now be accepting applications designed for the PlayBook.
There’s more to the story. RIM has now opened the vendor portal for all developers so that they can start submitting their PlayBook applications. RIM also presented a deal-sweetner, and that is the company has announced that it will be giving a free BlackBerry Playbook, upon its North American release, as an incentive to any developer who submits an approved app for the PlayBook.

So this piece of news gives rise to the hope of many who anticipate the launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook. The fact that the App World is now accepting apps for the PlayBook is a good thing, because there will be a lot of apps to try out once the device is finally released. Let’s hope that the launch comes soon enough.
