RIM plans to build a 10 inch Playbook Tablet

RIM's co CEO Mike Lazaridis was in San Francisco to attend the D:Dive into Mobile conference and if you know about RIM's
recent activities, you would have guessed the agenda of the interview - BlackBerry PlayBook.
The CEO had quite a bit to say about the upcoming BlackBerry Tablet OS powered tablet as well as the future plans for the tablet. But first thing first, RIM expects to roll out their first ever Tablet in the Q1 of 2011. It would have been great if we got a more precise date which was unfortunately not the case. From the look of things and lack of clarity and uncertainty from the CEO, it seems it will be in the latter part of the said quarter.
Coming to the future plans for the Playbook – Lazaridis revealed that the BlackBerry makers plans on rolling out different sizes of the Playbook. Only God and RIM knows if the future tablets will be larger than the 7 inch or smaller or will be it a bit of both. From where we see the Tablet market, don’t be surprised if RIM announces a 10 inch variant of the Playbook.
